This is a great hidden gem in Carlsbad. I like to try out working from different coffee shops and this may be my favorite in Carlsbad yet. Because it is located in a church, I was hesitant to come here as religion is not exactly my thing but the environment was not overtly religious and I didn't feel uncomfortable or like there was an effort to subtly convert anyone.

Very kind staff here. Great place to hang out and work or just relax and read a book. Lots of very comfy seating options. The decor is warm and welcoming. There is a beautiful upstairs patio with ocean and sunset views. Lots of free parking too!

They have custom coffees like the cardigan which is seasonal with spices for the holiday. They also have a really mean grilled cheese!! They also have internet here so you can study when they're open.

This is one of the few places I've found in the US that makes a flat white, and it was delicious! I also got the broccoli cheddar quiche, which was so tasty. This cafe is located in a church, so there was summer camp traffic, and know there is Christian imagery and books for sale, which was expected. Cute little cafe, great service, kind people. 5 stars!

Only go here right before Sunday Service and absolutely love it. One of the main reasons I go to Calvary Church. The coffee is great and good atmosphere too. Idk how it is during the week but it's amazing on Sundays.

This morning my wife and I enjoyed another coffee date at The Story Caffe. The warm ambience of this cafe made for a relaxing moment. Story Caffe was appropriately decorated for the holidays. I appreciated sipping a cup of bold house coffee. A few well behaved toddlers were making crumbs while eating a muffin, which added a sense of peace. The Caffe is open to the Christian faith, which was restful. This seems to be a cozy place to study and reflect, especially while listening to soft jazz music playing in the background. They even sell books by various authors to promote contemplation. It will take a moment to drive to the Caffe, so you may want to schedule time for your visit. Finally, the Caffe is closed on Friday and Saturday.
